The Tacoma Daily Index has interviewed local activist, streetcar aficionado, protector of Tacoma’s history, and frequent Exit133 contributor, Morgan Alexander. There’s even a photo. 15 minutes of fame? 15 seconds of fame? Your photo’s on the internet now! It’ll be there for a long time. Good job, Morgan.

Good interview Morgan.
I see from the picture the interview was done at the Black Water Cafe, apparently the prime meeting place of the new generation of Tacoma enthusiasts.
INDEX: What do you think should happen to the Winthrop?
ALEXANDER: Personally, it should be a grand hotel. . . One building can affect the entire city. We need a four-star hotel. The Winthrop is a huge building. . . A museum or convention center can’t take off without proper support . . . But to get to the next level, we need a four-star hotel. I think that kind of gets back to Tacoma’s perception of itself. Do we deserve it?
Next, we’ll be seeing him on TV Tacoma.

We know your age now, too, Morgan. Someone quick nominate this guy for the Business Examiner’s 40 Under 40 before it’s too late!
Great article…

Morgan is a cool dood; however, I still like my tacoma zeppelin idea better than his tacoma street car deal.
