It’s Thursday. Which means we would normally be playing bocce tonight had the seasonal darkness not caught up with us. My question to you is this, what do you want to do tonight? Meet at Doyle’s, hang out, and talk about the end of summer? Meet somewhere else? To be honest, I have a final exam (it’s weird to say that) in a couple days and should be studying tonight. I’ll be back on the social circuit next week. But that shouldn’t stop you. This community is growing and you don’t need me there. If you haven’t joined us before, come one and come all. The folks are friendly.
What do you think?

Me first, me first…I’m sure up for a game or two, and could use some air & sunshine while we still have it. Doyle’s is my favorite, a known quantity, comfortable, and seems to fit us. And it’s nice to know that’s where I can always catch up with you on Thursdays. On the other hand, (since you’re asking), I’ve also thought that in the future it would be fun to try out and support other establishments with this group – especially if it’s a place I haven’t been before. Some other places I like for food & ambience: Vin Grotto, and Meconi’s (both just down the slope) are nice yet different. And everyone should give the Jive a try at least once. I’m sure everyone would have a place to suggest. But I sure could use bocce and Doyle’s today, or just Doyle’s and Doyle’s – I’ll go along with whatever, and enjoy it. It’s mostly the company.

Doyle’s sounds good to me. That way we can sit and chat about what to do with our winter Thursdays. I am on call though, so if I don’t show that means I am stuck at work.

I’d be up for a Sunday mid-morning or early afternoon bocce game until it gets to be our typical wet NW winter.
I remember hearing about devoted little old Italian men playing in the cold with their spiked hot beverages…thoughts gang?

I guess it is Doyle’s. See you guys around 7-ish. Let’s get a weekend day together for bocce/pub.
