Buzzards Giving Away A Playstation 3 (28. November 2006, 14:50 by Derek Young) ~ Do You Want It?

Buzzard’s Discs, Tacoma’s locally-owned shop for pre-owned discs, tapes movies and DVDs, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in a way that everyone can appreciate – they’ll be giving away a highly sought after Play Station 3.

Marty Campbell, Buzzard’s and Stadium Video owner, is hosting a food drive at both locations at 1916 Jefferson Ave (Buzzards) and North 1st and Broadway (Stadium Video), respectively. Every can of food donated will earn participants one entry in a drawing for over $1,000 in prizes.

The official drawing will be held at Buzzard’s just in time for the holidays on Dec. 23 at 8 p.m.

The grand prize is a 60-gigabyte Play Station 3 – a retail value of $600.00.

Other prizes include:

$100, $50 and $10 gift certificates from Buzzard’s
Twenty five, ten and three free rental gifts from Stadium Video
Free DVDs and CDs

Campbell’s goal is to collect 10,000 cans of food, which will be donated to St. Leo’s Food Bank, 710 S 13th St.

To make your donation and enter to win, stop by Buzzard’s or Stadium Video or call (253) 591-0183 or (253) 572-1190.

Good idea. I need a PS3.

Hmmm. Let’s see. If I make a donation twice a day with a can of green beans from “Save a lot” for the next three weeks….

They should specify if Top Ramen counts. I have heard there has been problems in other food drive contests with people buying a zillion cheap Top Ramen packs to win.
And I want a PS3 too! Not really for the gaming but for the BluRay player ! The players alone at the store are like $1k.

I’ll buy a PS3 only if they start offering city planning and architecture games. PC games like SimCity and CityLife are so enjoyable; why bother with the overpriced system?

Just a thought. I think a good idea for a game is one building high rise buildings: the goal is to pull off all sorts of dangerous stunts and not get killed. Just like in the old days with the builders of the Empire State Building.
