The Spew is spreading the word on a new event called the Link and Drink. If you’re 21 or over, you can show up at Alfreds at 6:00 pm on December 2nd, have yourself a drink, then catch the Link to move further into town. There’s a special passport and stamps too! Only 40 seats are available.
Whose idea was this? I like it. We need more of these…

Yeah, neat idea, and free transportation! Even at their (your? our?) worst behavior, no one could be any worse than the creepy (and I don’t mean just odd) people I encounter when riding the Link with my kids on weekends. I’m sure those Skodas routinely pack more than 40 people in Europe.

(I’m far from MADD, but note to self: Don’t be anywhere near Alfred’s that night at 10:16 p.m. as people get into their cars to drive home!)

It’s a Saturday night. What you should do is park up near Stadium Bistro or Puget Sound Pizza. Then ride Link down to Alfreds for the start. At the end of the night, walk up to one of the open-late-restaurants for some food and a cup of coffee and/or water. And… bring a designated driver if you can’t walk home from there. Tapas until late. Always a winner.
