Funny. Santa type stories for adults with wine in their hand I guess.
Here’s some more details:
“The SantaLand Diaries” by David Sedaris, first heard on National Public Radio’s Morning Edition.
Jason Ganwich reads and performs Sedaris’ humorous and acerbic account of working as an elf in Macy’s SantaLand in Manhattan. The SantaLand Diaries is for adults who don’t mind their humor a little bit wicked…
Jason also performed this piece recently at Tacoma Little Theater, but it quickly sold out, so I missed the opportunity. We’ll be there this year, for sure.
Thanks to Kris for providing a venue to our favorite Jason!!

I saw Jason perform this last year at Vin Grotto and it was hilarious – it should not be missed!

...and the multi-talented Jason did quite well when I heard him sing a few old standards at Vin Grotto, sitting-in with Al Gord (who, starting tonight, plays VG every Thursday 6-8 – not just Third-Thursday).

We caught Jason’s gig last night. How hilarious is he? A true Tacoma treasure. Not everyone could get the David Sedaris timing down, but Jason nailed it. I swear his ‘Away in the Manger’ rendition was better than David Sedaris himself.
You’ve gotta try and fit this into your schedules. Two more shows: December 21st, and 23rd at 8:00 pm at Vin Grotto.
