I hope you’ve had a good 2006. As we enter the new year, consider learning a new party trick for this evening’s celebrations. The Wall Street Journal had an article this week on designing your own signature cocktail (subscription). Around here we’ve been playing with tequila and pomegranate juice.

Maybe you can learn a new dance. To truly impress… Open a champagne bottle with a saber.
Be safe. Have fun. Send stories and pictures.
Thank you for helping make my 2006 memorable.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope nobody thinks of this as spam, but one of Tacoma’s own web 2.0 startups has a list of things to do tonight if you’re finding yourself still on the couch.

Pomegranate is always good, but I discovered a Witches Brew in Chicago this past November. It was delish and a beautiful glowing green, a good choice since we were on our way to see the musical Wicked. All you need is a little Midori Melon Liquer, some trusty rum, a splash of sweet & sour mix. Shake vigorously with ice in a government issued cocktail shaker & pour over a cheerful maraschino cherry into your favorite martini glass. Yum.
Ladies, gentlemen, and those of you yet to make up your minds…thanks to all of you that attended the Kinky Boots Party. I’ll see if we can get Derek to put up a few fab photos for me. Best!
