I spent most of today trudging around downtown. Snow and ice still cover everything. Needless to say it was a bit treacherous. I would think that business owners would at least try to clear the snow and ice from the sidewalks in front of their establishments to make them look more inviting. If anything, tomorrow would be a wonderful opportunity to ride the Link as it runs on TRACKS.

Free day at the museum. I think we all tend to shrug this off but I’m sitting here, contemplating Martin Luther King, the treatment of the individual and combining that with how other cultures agressivly stiffle their artists if they don’t meet the “States” requirement. Not only do we fight for the rights of individuals but we fight for the right so findividual speach. I’m not one too get too heady about such topics but the fact that in cities like ours we not only have multiple outlets fo rart and expression but we encourage them by allowing everyone to view them for free. This is a pretty cool deal all things considered.
I know the art community will argue that they can’t get enough support and rightly so in my book but still the fact exists that they have an open field to displaywhat they want and no one needs fear reprisal for partaking.
This all available in our community.
There, I’ve done got all philosophical on you now.
Enjoy your MLK day.

I know the art community will argue that they can’t get enough support and rightly so. . .
Yeah.
On that note, check out RR Anderson’s puppet art show. Too funny.
