Microsoft’s Windows Live Search now has Tacoma’s buildings in 3D. Tacoma may have been online for a while, but we were just tipped off to it (Thanks Jake). I’m quite impressed. Not necessarily by the details in the individual buildings, but more from the breadth and depth of the buildings included. The Lewis & Clark (our home for 5 years) at 3rd and Yakima is on the map. Many of our new condo projects are in 3D. All the iconic buildings of downtown are online. Ignoring the required plugin, the necessity of Internet Explorer, and the lag my machine is now feeling, it’s still pretty cool.

A pox on Windows Live! Sites that require IE are a waste of bandwidth.
