It’s Third Thursday again and Artwalk is in full swing tonight. I’m culling through my emails to find some of the events on the calendar. I’m sure I’m forgetting somebody that has sent me an email. I apologize. The bottom line is this – get outside tonight and visit your downtown merchants. Eat out. Go into a new shop. Check out Moroccan Treasures, Fibers Etc, The Art Stop, Leroy Jewelers, Bijan, Over the Moon Cafe, Dame Lola, Ruby Collection, Goldies, Junior Bizarre, or any of the other shops that are open tonight. Go to a museum. This is your city. Make it something special. Here are some of the notable events for you to check out:

Don’t forget Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital on your Art Walk tour tonight. It’s a twist we know, but that’s why you should come! We are featuring a full-bodied Petite Syrah which pairs nicely with the fantastic artwork of Kelly Lyles (www.kellyspot.com). You might be familar with her by her locally famous Leopard Car. Come meet the artist and see some more of her awesome artwork. Plus we have Humane Society kitties to meet and greet (and pet!). Open House is 6-8pm. See you at the Met!
Hey everybody! See my EROTIC PUPPETS at the Mineral Studio as well. Also buy some of Lisa Kinoshita’s magical jewelery!

I took in a bit of Art Walk tonight.
Moroccan Treasures just opened at 906 Broadway across from the Pantages Theater. The space, lighting and tilework is incredible. It certainly took downtown retail up two notches. The arches and finish work took months to complete.
The owners have been working to get to know everyone downtown and are going to have some community meetings and events in their space which is centrally located.
There are rumors than the other spaces in the building adjacent to them will see something soon but I have not seen anything yet.
