Rumor-and-Speculation : A Lot of Pocket Change
Once upon a time (like Monday) there was a small apartment building circa 1956 at Stadium Way and E Street overlooking the Stadium Bowl. It was only two stories tall, recessed in the ground, and not particularly interesting to most folks I knew. I liked the windows and the straight lines of the architecture. The property sold for $1.4 million in October. Now, as many of you have now told me, it’s gone.

What has me intrigued are some of the rumors I’m hearing about what’s about to be built. A passing little bird said something about four to six condos. Starting prices of at least $1 million (Seriously?). Some of the other homes in the area, while gorgeous, aren’t selling particularly quick. I’m a bit curious about how many seven figure condos we can support in our town right now. Generally speaking, I’m an optimist. But…
If anybody has more details on this project, send them our way. We want to know more.
Address: 302 Stadium Way

Wow! I Thought for sure this was going to be a condo conversion! It looks like it’s being developed by Norpoint Communities.

I wonder what the sellers at the Dorthy are saying about it. Their views are changing rapidly.

This is just silly. Fortunately, I don’t have enough money or foolishness to buy one.
