Windermere Bullish on South Downtown? (13. March 2007, 16:25 by Derek Young) ~ Buy Now!

So I’m an optimist when it comes to the area south and west of UWT. Yeah, there’s very little there now, but you should see the permits! Imagine for a moment when those empty lots start filling in. Imagine when the development has infilled from City Steps to UWT. It would seem that Windermere may be into that neighborhood as well. From what we hear, Windermere Metro (Offices on Commerce St.) is expanding into South Downtown with a new office. They are the listing agents on McCarver Village and the Grandview Condo conversion. I could see it. Just wait. You won’t recognize that neighborhood in a few years.

“You won’t recognize that neighborhood in a few years.”

Couldn’t agree more.

Speaking of that area, I saw a for sale sign on the vacant lot on the NE corner of 21st and Fawcett(I think).

This seems like prime real estate. It would be nice to see a big project put in there.
