I’m very intrigued by any artist that uses Tacoma imagery in their art. The title alone has me fascinated. I must know more…

David Fewster and Folksingers In Hell with Heidi Fosner perform the Ballad of the New Tacoma March 24, 8-10pm.

Poet David Fewster and singer/songwriter Heidi Fosner team for an evening of spoken word and music celebrating a highly personal vision of the recent past, current present, and not-too-distant future of the city Neko Case calls “a dusty jewel.” Fewster was a 2003-2004 recipient of an AIP grant from the Tacoma Arts Commission for his book “Diary of a Homeless Alcoholic Suicidal Maniac & Other Picture Postcards” (“raw, funny, foulmouthed, Tacoma-centric”—Jen Graves, TNT; “humor and sadness come through as well as they would in a personal reading on stage”—REAL CHANGE), while Fosner is a former member of the Guadalupe House Band. Join them for a program that well showcase new work along with a smattering of all the Greatest Hits!

$8 advanced, $10 at the door.
