The TNT is reporting that Troy Christian, one of the partners in Asado and Masa, will be opening a restaurant on the ground floor of the Walker at Sixth and St. Helens. Darn good location across the street from the Sharpe Project in the middle of all sorts of new St. Helens residents.

Great news! This is a sign of a neighborhood coming alive. At the moment, there is about a 7-block “dead zone” with very few business between about 2nd and 3rd and the Theatre District along St. Helens. I look forward to seeing more people out walking St. Helens—for a nice meal, walking to work downtown, or heading to/from the new grocery.

Interesting. When the Walker was built that was originally a restaurant.
