Tacoma To Get Cupcakes (21. March 2007, 08:35 by Derek Young) ~ Mmmm...

The cupcake trend that has been simmering up in Seattle for the past couple years, and New York for longer than that, is about to hit Tacoma. From what we hear, our new cupcake proprietors will be located on Pacific near BKB and the Running Store with a kitchen designed by Bargreen-Ellison. Best of all, they’re locals. The build-out will take a couple months – I can’t wait!

A little birdie told me that Pat and Chad Kerth from the Old Milwaukee are planning a Cup Cake Dessert Shop next to their location on 6th and Cedar.

How many cupcakes do you have to sell to cover your expenses? I’ve always wondered that, especially when you see the cupcake spots in SF and elsewhere.

I stopped by my first cupcake place when in San Fran earlier this year. If this place is anything close it’ll be tons of fun.

Pretty soon we’ll be going all over town to get all sorts of good stuff from separate places. Soup, meat, cupcakes… Wait, isn’t that why supermarkets were invented? Crap!
