The Emergency Food Network, Pierce County’s emergency food distribution center, and the Food Connection, Pierce County’s largest food bank, are each observing the 25th anniversary of fighting hunger in Pierce County in 2007. To celebrate they are holding The Cans Film Festival at the Blue Mouse Theatre. Beginning on April 12, and continuing on the 2nd Thursday of each month through December, the festival will show a food-themed movie at 7:00 PM at the Blue Mouse Theatre. Each month a local restaurant will partner with the festival, providing a special coupon to moviegoers, as well as having month long specials supporting the Food Connection and the Emergency Food Network.

McGavick Winery will also be providing a complimentary glass of wine each month for all moviegoers.

Tickets are available for $15 per show, and season passes may be purchased for $120.
