Just wanted to give a shoutout for using The Kleptones. That 24 Hours mix is no joke.

I think one thing that’s getting lost in the “Wow.. how cool” of this event is that this is one of a number of buildings (most notably the Elks) that has been sitting vacant and slowly deteriorating in front of our eyes.
A friend of mine who knows the owner of the (now former) Eagles informed me that the Eagles owner did a walk through over at the Elks recently and the interior of the building is headed down the same path.
The ceiling drop is a harbinger of things to come… and next time it may not be just a non-descript brick building that goes down.
Thanks for the soapbox.

I believe the Elks building is now officially owned by Williams and Dame http://www.wddcorp.com/
And driving by the other day I noticed they have up fresh new boards to keep people out. The company claims to not sit on properties very long, so I’d say it’s likely we’ll see some movement on that one pretty soon.

Wonder if your friend asked the owner of the Eagles building why he didn’t prevent it from going down said “path.” I’d be curious to hear.
