Today was one of those days with a few too many things to do. And just when I thought I was getting too busy, something came along to slow me down.
Are you looking for a bit of wildlife for your backyard? Squirrel. Available now! Seriously… We’ve called PAWS already. They say he’s big enough to fend for himself, so we’ve moved him to a safer corner of the yard. There’s something about a squirrel sleeping in the junk mail of a house with 120 pounds of dog two feet away that doesn’t seem quite ideal. Although our dogs find it quite interesting.

Where’d did it jump to — your face?!
That’s totally cute and I can sympathize considering our recent attic squirrel endeavors. Didn’t snag any video of ours though — was trying not to fall through the ceiling when capturing the little buggers.

Seriously, though: did he jump on your face? I’m hoping that you managed to a get your camera wedged in there.

Hmm, attentive, observant, obviously nerves of steel. Quick on his feet and seems to have good hand/eye coordination Maybe he’s free for bocce?

Derek, I actually raised a squirrel that wound up living in our house with us for awhile. Cute bugger. Aquired him at 5 days old or so. Even made a holloween costume for him. He was an iguana. Martha

It’s great when an overly busy day can be put into perspective by a simple little creature. Wonderful video.

When they jump at your face, they like to go right for the eyes.
Just make sure he’s not the kind of squirrel that foams at the mouth.

I hear that only the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch may quench such a rabid beast’s thirst for faces.
