First United Methodist Church will begin work to convert the historic Bekins Storage Building on June 4, 2007 into its new home. On Sunday, June 3rd, at 1:00 pm, you are invited to tour the facility, see the church design sketches, and meet architect David Boe.
The Bekins Storage Building was constructed in 1930 with a warehouse added in 1950. The property has been used as a storage facility until a month ago. The design will change the exterior facade while creating a sanctuary, chapel, and offices on the inside. A rooftop garden is planned for sometime in the future.
