So, do you have a snippet you can share as to how Exit133 is in the book? Did they mention the site proper or just the actual exit itself? ;)

Oh no. Exit 133.com is immortalized in the book. I don’t have the page reference in front of me.
However, here are some other Tacoma references (from Ed’s Diner):
Sizzler in Puyallup, p. 7
Syren, p. 22
Fujiya, p. 22
Sea Grill, p. 22
Cutter’s Point Coffee, p. 29
The Swiss, pp. 88, 176
Johnny’s Dock, p. 126
Blue Olive, p. 126
Shakebrah, p. 164
The Parkway Tavern, p. 164
West End Pub and Grill, p. 164
The Spar, p. 165
Bertolino’s Coffee Bar, p. 169
21 Commerc e, p. 176
Kickstand Café, p. 200
Le-Le, pp. 211-217 (“Everybody Comes to Le-Le’s” chapter)
Exit 133 is referenced on page 33. This is an interesting read. It’s not just the references to real places, but also the discussions of events that have actually happened in recent years that makes one wonder where we really live. I was sucked in and the next thing I knew it was finished. The subject didn’t sound appealing at first but it’s a good read.

Derek explains the Exit133 reference in the “previously” post from a few weeks ago. It was a good read. Quick. But I enjoyed it.

It is a good read. However, for Tacomans it is an enthralling read with all of the local references and inside Tacoma humor.
The eerie aspect of the book isn’t in some fantastic Grisham plot but rather how very lightly fictional it is. For instance, quotes from Mayor Baarsma are in there. The Tacoma scene is set up just as it is now (in reality) but with slightly different events.
