'Hedwig' opens tonight (15. June 2007, 07:28 by Erik) ~ Fringe Theater

The Horatio Theater opens their production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch tonight at the SOTA Theater in downtown Tacoma.

Producer Erik Hanberg has the update:

Hedwig is a wild and incredibly fun “glam rock musical.” Some people call it the next Rocky Horror but (in my humble opinion) it’s a little too sweet and good-natured for that. It’s got great music, wild makeup, and cool costumes.

I’m particularly happy because not only do we get to stage Hedwig in Tacoma—the first time it’s been put on here, I believe—but this is also the first show for us that we’ll take on the road. Next weekend we’re booked for a show at Nuemo’s in Seattle.

Hope to see you there!

Dates: June 15 & 16, 29 & 30 at the SOTA Theater. All shows start at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $16/person.
