For many of us that have been around Tacoma for… more than ten years, we remember the early days of the Grand Cinema. We remember when it opened. We remember when it nearly closed. Some of us even remember seeing live music in Club Tacoma in what would eventually become the Grand Cinema. It’s been a long journey.
On Sunday, September 9th, head down to the Grand Cinema and thank them for ten great years. They’ll be serving cake from 1:30 to 7:00. The cake is free, but a $3.00 donation is suggested.
To the folks at The Grand – Thank you.

I don’t remember 10 years ago (since I was just getting into college up here) but I do remember seeing some great flicks there. Congrats to the Grand and for being an anchor in a previously otherwise undesirable portion of town.
