Love Tacoma at King's Books and Doyle's Tonight (29. August 2007, 14:28 by Derek Young) ~ What Do You Know?

The fine folks at Love Tacoma are gathering again this evening. The party starts at King’s Bookstore at 5:30 where you can “Feed Your Head” with all the literary goodness that King’s Books offers. At 7:00, folks will be moving across the parking lot to Doyle’s. It’s trivia night and it’s all about Tacoma. Come on folks. Show your knowledge and make us proud!

I filled my head at Kings Books but didn’t make the Doyle’s half of the evening. Fun crowd, good books. Hope the trivia was fun for all y’all who went to that portion of the night.

Yay, we won prizes! Yay!

Oh, just a bit of trivia: Russ doesn’t like to call it trivia night. Due to the nature of the questions (most of which require some figurin’), he refers to it as knowledge night.

ThriceAllAmerican had hoped to send some representation and, of course, dominate the competition, but instead opted for staying a bit late at work, dinner at home, and an exciting trip to the gym. Le sigh.

I’d love to see a transcript of the trivia questions (knowledge questions?)…

I gotta say, Russ definitely puts together some great knowledge-teasers. There were two rounds, each containing some questions that dealt with logic, homophones/homonyms, wit, current events, and plain random knowledge.

The question d’etre, in my eyes, was to explain which kicked more butt: Tacoma or Chuck Norris.

Well done, Russ… as always.

I second the “good questions” comment, and not just because we won prizes! It was definitely challenging, if a bit masochistic at times.

and jamie…I made it to the gym and to Doyle’s. Both is possible! :-)

My brain is fairly humorless and overloaded this week, so will someone explain what the “wit” category would entail?

WHO puts the questions together??? ;-)

kbce summed it up pretty well. But it’s been a while – Do I still have to have a Get Fuzzy reader on my team to have a chance at page two?
