An Exit133 Top Pick
If, at any moment in time, you’ve ever considered marriage, a life partner, or a long-term relationship of any sort, it is essential that you see Full Disclosure.
Everett, a 35-year-old bachelor, is fed up with the dating game. To break the system, he adopts a policy of “full disclosure” by which he reveals all his worst and most annoying personal characteristics on the first date. He expects that, through this approach, he will be able to identify an ideal wife within a week of introduction.
Predictably, Everett’s plan fares poorly, until he meets Brinn. The two of them comically investigate nearly every problem a couple could have, as well as the entire arc of a committed relationship, all during the course of one dinner. At the very height of humor, though, the curtain is pulled away to reveal a sobering truth.
Reminiscent of Kevin Smith, this short hooks you with mirthful reality before delivering an unexpected sucker punch. Wonderfully written and directed by Douglas Horn, with addictive lead performances, Full Disclosure is a must-see.
