COTW: Wasn't This About Parking? ( 3. November 2007, 16:41 by Derek Young) ~ We Learn Something New Every Day

Our thread about parking seemed destined for our comment of the week. It starts out talking about Sixth Avenue. Then, Mofo from the Hood – who we figured was neither – brings his subway proposal to the table. This could be it, we thought. Then, Mofo opens up and gives us a little more background on why he is the way he is. We can sometimes predict what y’all are going to say. We never saw this one coming. This is mid-comment:

The time they had was short but mighty. People say they was feelin’ good

Nine months later in the back of a Caddy, my mama gave birth to Mofo from the Hood

I don’t know what to say…

Good COTW.

The comment of all time on Exit 133 (COAT) most likely belongs to RR Anderson who when discussing the proposed wall mentioned the word ‘moat’

The word “moat” set off a firestorm in the blog world, was reprinted in the TNT, and the other Tacoma media.

A man could search
The seven seas
And never find a treasure
Like Exit One-Two Three’s

You mean,
One-Three’s-Three’s

No, I think it’s a number one, then two number threes.

One, two Threes.

I can’t find the old thread about the parking, but I happened to find this description of Burlingame’s parking situation and wanted to post it here. So here you go:

PARKING

One-hour metered street parking on Burlingame Avenue 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Free all day Sundays and holidays. No parking 4 to 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday. Several free two-, four- and 10-hour city parking lots are located off of Burlingame Avenue and in the downtown area.

Hey KC. I do know that some celebrities and other notables have commented on this blog.

Would you be KC from “KC and the Sunshine Band?”

8 | Posted by Mofo from the Hood | Nov 11, 11:50 AM

I think that is KC of the Sunshine Band, uh-huh uh-huh.

No, you are only half right. I am not KC of the Sunshine Band. I’m somewhat of a celebrity, though. And I’d be proud to have a band, but right now, I am bandless. Thanks for asking, uh-huh, uh-huh.
