This Sunday, Choro Famoso, a world-class acoustic instrumental band led by Mike Marshall will perform their distinctive, melodic, Brazilian choro music in Tacoma.

The concert will be upstairs at the Varsity Grill and support the Tacoma Rescue Mission’s Adam’s Square transitional housing project.

This show is going to be amazing. Mike Marshall is one of the best mandolin players in the world.

And it helps out the rescue mission. Win, win.

I’ve heard Mike Marshall and his Brazillian band, and I’ve also seen the amazing work done at the rescue mission—I’m so excited that two such inspirations are coming together…and in Tacoma!

It’s good for Tacoma to have events like this where the arts are used to support local good works.
