Today’s comment of the week seemed to cause more friction in our office than any topic y’all talked about. We emailed, chatted, and debated. Yet, we couldn’t find absolute agreement. While one particularly opinionated editor (the one still in need of a haircut) thought Mofo’s call and response post in the Steph Farber interview thread deserved it, others didn’t seem to agree. They liked the softer gentler approach offered by DNI a couple posts prior. In the end… well you can see for yourself:

I say we all have an “Exit 133” empowerment rally. We can meet at one end of downtown, eat, drink and shop our way thru the city, end up at City Hall, and light candles to the good old days of a once thriving downtown….then burn all of our shopping receipts in protest that there’s not enough “action” downtown.

What’s the message? I think folks want some retail downtown.

I stand corrected.

DNI’s Epicurean rally is the quintessential protest that should be portrayed in my novel “Idealism in Tacoma.”
