Update (2/20)

Do you have any info on how this meeting differs from the one several months ago, where they presented different light fixture and sidewalk texture options and had people vote on their favorites? Is it that they have now taken that input into consideration and crafted a plan?

This according to the City Council site:

During the meeting, you will have the opportunity to review and discuss the bids submitted for the Broadway LID with the project team.

To clarify, the City Council won’t actually be voting on the Broadway LID itself. When it goes before Council they will be voting on awarding the purchase contract. The open house was an opportunity for City staff to gather feedback from you, which will guide them as they revise the project package for the re-bidding.

I’m pretty sure this L.I.D. meeting is for the public’s input for the next L.I.D. meeting, or the one after that …

Its my understanding that the bids have come back, and this is the next step before the bids go before the council for award. Nothing more than that, just informational for anyone interested. It is intended for the construction to begin in April sometime.

“It is intended for the construction to begin in April sometime.”

So it will have been almost exactly two years since the LID’s formation that we see construction begin. I know we hit a speed-bump half way through, but sheesh!

The delays have been unfortunate, but at least it’s happening.
(It is happening, right?)

The LID has already been approved. Now its just a matter of the bid for the work. Everying seems to be on track. The streets and sidewalks in question needed to be repaired 10 years ago.

No kidding, living right in the middle of this I have been dying for this to happen. Granted the construction period will be a pain in the convenience department, but I got over that a long time ago.
