Any ladies want to unleash their inner badass roller goddess? The Dockyard Derby Dames are looking for new recruits!
The Dockyard Derby Dames are Tacoma’s only all-woman, flat-track roller derby league. Tryouts are being hosted to find new team members and are also open to men and women who are interested in becoming flat-track roller derby referees.
Boot camp starts tonight for beginners to practice before the actual tryouts. Roller Derby Boot Camp offers the chance to learn some beginning roller derby skills, see a typical practice, and talk one-on-one with Tacoma’s own Dockyard Derby Dames.

February 25th and 28th from 8 – 10 pm
Skate-N-Station
301 – 133rd Street S., Tacoma, WA
$5 per night, including roller skate rental
Tryouts
Sunday, March 2, 2008 from 10am – 12pm
Skate-N-Station
Candidates should bring:
• Driver’s License/ID Card
• Comfortable clothes suitable for working out
