Decent looking house. Great neighborhood. Within stumbling distance of Hank’s Corner Barn – but not too close. Plus, the price dropped $90k yesterday. Interested?

That’s a really nice house. And that’s a heck of a price drop.

Hey, that’s right across the street from my house on N. 6th and L streets! The story is rather sad, actually. It was a total dump, and an older Seattle couple bought it and flipped it, except it wasn’t a quick, cheap flip — it took a year and was done with historic restoration in mind. They even preserved little views of the lath and plaster and ancient wallpaper with unique little windows in the wall. Really cool. I saw the before-and-after and wow.
And then the market fell apart and they got stuck with the house and have lost a lot of money on it. It is a lovely house, especially for those who love old charm. There are also two other even bigger old houses on my block that have been for sale forever.
