Parks Appreciation Day is Saturday (15. April 2008, 11:55 by Whitney Rhodes) ~ Play!

The annual Parks Appreciation Day is this Saturday, April 19. From 9am to noon, citizens are asked to descend on our parks and show the love. Last year 1,241 volunteers gave up a Saturday morning to improve our parks.

This year volunteers can pick up a FREE pair of gardening gloves prior to the event at the HomeStreet Bank Tacoma or Lakewood Branch. Gloves will be available after March 15, 2008.
