We have some significant differences of opinion in the Exit133 offices about mid-century homes. As homes move even further into the 1960s and 1970s, the debate can be downright ugly. But anyway …
This home appeared in the inbox earlier this week. Built in 1966, it has never been on the market. Check out those lines! Check out those views! An address on North Stadium Way for a mere $595k? Sure, it only has 2 bedrooms and the home could use some updating, but at least some one of us in the office likes its potential.

Oh baby. I have such a crush on this house. It reminds me of my last 3 boyfriends… Edgy, sturdy, a little bit old, and I can’t wait to get in there and change everything.

laugh Okay, I love the previous comment!
But seriously…no, thanks. It would take a bit too much to revamp with the already presumptuous price tag.
Another “OTM” note from the opposite coast: The Somerset County Jail in downtown Skowhegan (Maine) is for sale. It has a price tag of $200,000. I’m intrigued!

I checked this one out and it’s either a complete gut job or a tear down. The view is spectacular and the neighborhood is wonderful, but the interior is small and dark, and the layout is very strange/awkward. There are also few windows that face that great view. I think it’s overpriced.
