This bike in front is a late 1950’s or early 60’s made in Chicago Schwinn; girl’s one-speed model. The rims of that vintage were usually painted white. This bike’s handlebar neck has been reversed to set the bars closer to the rider. The front basket is possibly an aftermarket unit and judging from the support legs which have multiple holes, the basket will fit multiple sized bikes. The two-tone saddle looks original and if so then the seating area will show a script style white “S” in the blue area.
Any guy too little for this bike who ever rode one of these standing on the smooth rubber pedals only and then slipped and fell to the bottom of the passthrough and then careened in agony to a stunned standstill will understand, as I do, why these ballbusters aren’t made anymore.
