Today is United Way of Pierce County’s 2008 Day of Caring. Nearly 1,100 volunteers are helping out at locations throughout Pierce County. Volunteers include a team of nearly 500 students, staff and faculty from the Tacoma School of the Arts, as well as teams from 35 companies throughout the area.
We saw for ourselves the good work being done by employees of Rainier Pacific Bank at Catholic Community Services’ Hospitality Kitchen on Yakima Avenue.
So if you see folks wearing “Live United” shirts, or pass by a work site, say thanks and think about how you can live united in our community.
