We often post about local organizations looking for donations to fund a worthy cause. Very rarely is that cause a comedy movie.
But that’s just what Jazzbones will be raising money for with its comedy show on Oct. 5. The night will be hosted by Joe Rosati, and comedians Rod Long, Collin Dillon and Lee Fleming will perform. The show runs from 8 to 10pm, and it’ll take an $8 minimum donation to get in the door. Proceeds go towards producing the movie “It Doesn’t Rain on Sunny Days,” a dark comedy about a lottery winner’s misfortunes. It will be shot almost entirely in town, so we can only assume that it’ll be Tacoma’s answer to “The Wire.”

Excellent write-up. I’m Wishing “IT DON’T RAIN ON SUNNY DAYS” great success with this film and the fundraiser.
