Ummm.. Lemay Gets Tacoma Dome? (18. April 2006, 07:01 by Derek Young) ~ I Like Silly Ideas.... Sometimes

Dawn Lucien has an idea nobody wants. She filed an initiative yesterday that would give the Tacoma Dome and all its property to the Lemay Museum. The problem is, the Lemay Museum, with all its classic cars, doesn’t want the Tacoma Dome. From the News Tribune: “Put the cars in the Dome and call it the museum,” she said. “They wouldn’t have to use all of the Dome. Could they use just the convention center part of the Dome?” Our city leaders seemed also seemed unconvinced. Personally, I have issues giving Lemay a parking lot. Giving them the whole package seems like a bit much. I recommend you read the story. This could become a classic.

The idea of giving the Dome away to absolve the City’s responsibility of maintaining and operating it is brilliant in its absurdity. I only wish I would have thought of it first.

I wonder what possessed her. Dawn has served on a number of committees and commissions that made sense.

I wonder if her thinking goes a little further than this.
