Sitecrafting To Buy Police Stable Building (19. January 2010, 09:05 by Derek Young) ~ This Is The Place To Be

The word on the street, and via twitter, is that the fine folks at Sitecrafting are under contract for the old police stable building at 615 Commerce Street. The building is across the street from the Elks, right next to Old City Hall, and a half block from us at Suite133. It’s not quite a done deal, but we’ll remain optimistic.

As a side note, the horses will be placed on treadmills to power our new data center. Not exactly green power, but they say brown is the new green ;-)

Very nice.

Congratulations.

It appears that some momentum is building toward a cluster of design and development technology companies in that area. Reminds me a bit of Pioneer Square in Seattle in the 90’s.

INTERNATIONAL DESIGN SERVICES DISTRICT (IDSD) or maybe the INTERNATIONAL F. U. FRANK RUSSELL SERVICES DISTRICT (IFUFRSD)

Very cool building. Welcome to the ‘hood. I’ve got to beleive that the decision to move here was based on the opening of Firwood, Klub Kokonut and Hell’s Kitchen in the area.

I’d love to hear that they will have some space for lease – I love that building and my lease is up in about 15 months.

Is this going to be partially converted into a “data center”? If so, please tell me it will not go the way of the old Woolworths bldg or the bldg near 24th and pac ave.

Sitecrafting employs quite a few people. That Woolworth building actually houses an AT&T wireless telecom switch. Although it is manned, the ratio of space to people is very large.

I would expect the sitecrafting people to be out and about invading eating and drinking establishments on a regular basis.

A few of them come to Frost Park chalk drawings and I suspect that is the real reason they moved. So that the Frosties among them would not have to walk so far to get to Frost Park.
