Not much to see there, other than more pictures, except that there is mention that artist Abby Williams Hill lived there. (See here for more info on her.)
Why in the hell can’t the library get it together enough to have a website that you can actually link to? Is there a programmer in the house that could help them out with this? Plus the design could use an overhaul to bring it into the 90’s…

That one only easy for me because I live down the street from it – the further west you go, the worse I get at this game.

The interesting part of the building history was the details of the building and the construction cost. My understanding is that there was a bit of a battle between this builder and the brothers building the Lewis & Clark as to who was building the true ‘finest apartments’ in Tacoma. So the construction costs may have been overstated in the newspapers to make the buildings seem even greater than they were/are. The newspaper mentions all the fancy woods and the great floor plans, etc. Having lived in the Lewis & Clark for five years, I’m biased…
