Dukes Chowder House Open Today (23. May 2006, 15:17 by Derek Young) ~ Mmm... chowder.

Dukes Chowder House has opened its doors at 3327 Ruston Way this morning. Our tipster tells us to be sure to join their email list. They are always sending out free meals, chowder and other specials through it. Good chowder sounds good to me. Free chowder sounds even better.

I have nothing against Duke’s – I can’t say I love their food. I am glad to see them going in on the waterfront. much better than having a casino, for sure.

BUT, did anyone else catch that they applied for and apparently recieved a $250,000 loan from the City? I am assuming these are low interest loans as they are supposed to be used in struggling neighborhoods. Is the waterfront struggling?
