King 5 is reporting on a feud between former city councilman Paul Miller and condo owners that live adjacent to a property he’s looking to develop. The complaint has something to do with disclosure of Asarco contamination on the property. It appears to be a lot of who knew what when and who didn’t tell whom what. Don’t lick the dirt and we’ll all be fine…

I guess those condo owners are getting desperate…
I had the unfortunate experience of being scheduled to present on the streetcar to the West End Neighborhood Council the same night Paul was making a presentation recently.
I have to say I was a little skeptical about the Millers’ project. But it was clear that they did their homework and had spent much time working with the community. And I respect what he is doing.
Still, the condo owners came and bitched about everything! Traffic, lights, more people. I guess change is hard for some folks. Especially when they took for granted that a huge chunk of developable nearby land was theirs.
And they wouldn’t shut up! They were so inconsiderate and annoying that by the time they left (they didn’t even show consideration by staying for the rest of the meeting), the Council was so drained, I don’t think they heard a word I said.

The sad thing about condo sales is they first sell the ones with a view and then later build and sell others right in front of you blocking your view.
