First The News Tribune launches a new homepage a few weeks ago. Now this… The City of Tacoma is apparently launching a redesigned website sometime today. Is this news? It is to me and possibly a few of you only because we try to navigate the site on a regular basis and find ourselves lost. Will it be better? We’ll see.

The new web page is much better as it shows where you are in the site at all times.
By the way, there are some new additions to the filthy fifteen. Cameras anyone?
I doubt the new listings will be salvagable.

Nice to see it updated. There was a lot of really outdated stuff on the Economic Development webpage. It was talking about the Museum of Glass opening next year, in 2002, and the proposed office towers in the Dome District—-really old news.

They still have a lot of broken links though. They need to run some web software on it and clean it up.

...it would be nice if the city could consolidate all its different “projects” under one URL! It seems like they have at least dozen different websites… and much stale info…
