How did I miss this? Today, Friday June 23rd, is Take Your Dog To Work Day! We have dogs at work. On almost any day of the week there are twenty to thirty canine friends around here. Albeit they aren’t allowed in the buildings so they have their own special place outside. Somehow I don’t imagine that many offices in Tacoma with dogs in the hallways or running around the courtyard. Am I wrong? Does your office allow pets?

Man, I wish there were a take your cat to work day. My little Lulu would sure appreciate some pet props from the folks that create such “take your ___ to work” days.

In 3rd grade we had a “Take You Pet To School Day”. My gerbil and I learned a lot about the food chain that day…

Ha. There is a dog sitting business by Kings Books if I am not mistaken.

Are you sure you’re not being had?
It doesn’t take too much to declare a holiday, for crying out loud…for instance, also in this month are: Log Cabin Day (Michigan) and my personal favorite, World Sauntering Day.
If you think about all the DINKS (double income no kids) who were missing out on Take Your Daughter to Work Day…Take Your Dog to Work Day totally makes sense…especially near Seattle where I think dogs outnumber children!
