Tacoma Works, one of the grassroots organizations led by one of our illustrious commentors, is moving ahead with its storefront mural project. The general idea is that artists will paint murals that look like storefronts to go over empty storefronts. The goal of the project is to beautiful neighborhoods while uniting residents, businesses, and artists. The first meeting was this last Tuesday. The next meeting is August 8th.

This sounds weird but it is actually a very good idea.
Bellingham has some great artists who do this and it looks amazing.
