The News Tribune has entered into the Google Map mashup game by creating a free wi-fi map for Tacoma and the South Sound. Coffee shops. Check. Libaries. Check. Car dealerships? Okay. Lady Luck’s Cowgirl Up Steakhouse & Saloon? Umm… sure.

I think we should add all the residential sites that don’t bother to secure their wifi!
“John Q. Public, 100 N 30th, still has his router configured as “linksys” and sends a nice signal deep into the neighborhood. Excellent for downloading mp3s or trolling blogs”.
I think the Trib should think of their own methods of generating interesting content rather than snagging ideas that come straight from places like Exit133. Guess they have to get their material from somewhere…
