It’s the third Thursday of the month which means you are probably hitting the town tonight and visiting galleries, museums, and other downtown shops (If you’re not, you should be). In addition to the regular third Thursday events, fifteen businesses on the North side of Pacific, Court A, and Opera Alley will be keeping their doors open from 6:00 to 9:00 pm with some serving wine and food. Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital – a new business in the area – is hosting Gig Harbor artist Leigh Jackson. Vin Grotto will be hosting a wine tasting from 5:00 to 8:00 pm for $5 per person while featuring the sounds of jazz pianist Al Gord. Check it out.

Is there a map somewhere for ArtWalk you could link up?

I’m going to Vin, even if it’s just to see my friend Al. He’s one of the piano players who used to play at Kelly’s, a joint across from the library that you recent transplants really missed out on. Al hasn’t had a chance to tell blatant lies about me in a long while. And Met-Vet is worth the healthy hike up the hill – it’s the coolest, state-of-the-art, un-vet-like vet, with art throughout. And a drive-up lane with vacuum tubes to check-in your smaller pets. (O.K., that part is a lie.)
