National Night Out: Events All Over Tacoma

This Tuesday Tacoma, along with much of the rest of America, will observe the 30th anniversary of National Night Out Against Crime with an abundant offering of neighborhood events. The goal of the events is to help neighbors take a stand together against crime by coming out of their houses and into their streets, parks, and other community gathering places. The events build community, encourage neighbors to get to know each other, share knowlwedge, and generally find out what's going on with each other.

In Tacoma, Safe Streets has over 100 neighborhood groups registered with block parties, barbecues, picnics, safety fairs, and other events to celebrate the 30th annual National Night Out. There is an extensive list at SafeSt.org. So, how will you celebrate Night Out this year?
