“Tacoma Report” Reports on Tacoma

The City of Tacoma has launched a new way of sharing information about Tacoma with its residents: Tacoma Report will be a regular series showing on TV Tacoma.

The first edition of the show will air today, and is already available online. As the show's host, Anita Gallagher, introduces the show, it is "designed to give Tacoma residents informative information" on a wide variety of topics including City services, events, and local nonprofits.

Tacoma Report is a contemporary news program that delves into the happenings of Tacoma’s community and highlights the services and programs offered by the City of Tacoma and its partners.

The show will feature:

  • What is new and important to you
  • Human interest stories
  • And more…

The first episode covers topics including the hoisting of the Seahawks flag at the Tacoma Dome, TPU helicopter tree trimming, home pruning and maintenance tips, the City's recent 311 and other customer service initiatives, the upcoming 2014 South Sound Sustainability Expo, the City's Community Cleanup program and other services, FISH Foodbanks' mobile foodbank, parking policy and recent and upcoming changes, and the monthly free Click! Family Flick at the Grand Cinema.
