Drunken Telegraph Live Storytelling Workshop

January 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm

Megan Sukys and Tad Monroe, co-producers of Tacoma’s real-life storytelling show Drunken Telegraph, will share techniques and tips that can help you craft a stage-worthy story from memorable events of your life.

Megan Sukys draws on twelve years of radio experience with KUOW as a story producer as well as classical theatre training. Tad Monroe brings his experience as a public speaker, teacher, writer, poet, arts programmer, and seasoned storyteller in the realms of spirituality, non-profit, and higher education.

Together, they will present a comprehensive look at the art of personal storytelling and will offer practical questions and structures that you can use to transform your own experiences into a meaningful performance.

Audience interaction will be part of the workshop and both Megan and Tad will be available to talk with anyone interested in pitching stories for the next season of Drunken Telegraph shows. The workshop is free and open to the public
