Reise Farm Volunteer Restoration

We need your help! PCC Farmland Trust will be hosting three invasive species management events this winter:

  • Thursday, January 30th from 9am-12pm
  • Thursday, February 6th from 9am-12pm
  • Thursday, February 13th from 9am-12pm

Come out to Reise Farm in the Orting Valley to help us restore an important riparian area and improve the ecological health of the farm. Be prepared for some hard work as we pull ivy, holly, and blackberry in preparation for the planting season. As a reward, enjoy a free burrito lunch from Chipotle and a backstage peek at a working farm! Field work will be from 9am-12pm; lunch and tour from 12pm to 1pm.

  • Tools, lunch, coffee, tea and light snacks will be provided; please bring a water bottle and anything else you might need.
  • Events are rain or shine. Wear close-toed shoes and warm clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Work gloves will be provided but if you have a favorite pair – bring ‘em!
  • All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
  • RSVP for directions to Reise Farm

To RSVP, email eve.boyce@pccfarmlandtrust.org. Please include the date(s) you plan on attending, either a vegetarian or chicken lunch preference, and the number of volunteers in your party.
