Talk the Walk” for Pedestrian Crossing Improvements
The City of Tacoma is planning to spend $2.5 million in one-time funds planning, designing and constructing pedestrian crossing improvements throughout Tacoma. In Spring, City of Tacoma staff asked people to “Talk the Walk” with them about where pedestrian improvements are most needed and how they should be prioritized now, and in the future. At this meeting City staff are coming back to the community to share what they learned, the resulting ranking process, which projects are rising to the top, and discuss a tentative project schedule. The meeting covering improvements to Central Tacoma, South Tacoma, the South End, and East Side (Council District areas 3, 4 and 5) will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9 at the Blix Elementary School Cafeteria, 1302 East 38th St.
