Ethnic Fest Celebrates World Cultures July 26-27
Feast on exotic flavors, vivid costumes and dynamic rhythms as you experience two full days of music, dance, art, and foods from around the world at Wright Park in Tacoma, 501 South I St.
Ethnic Fest celebrates the cultures that make Pierce County an interesting and exciting place to live, from 12 to 7 p.m. on July 26 and 27.
This family-friendly event offers everything from Bulgogi to Gelato, reggae to rhumba and is enjoyed by tens of thousands of people each year.
Two stages will spotlight music such as Tahitian drum and dance, Celtic and Irish music, jazz, gospel, and much more. Ethnic Fest’s rich blend of cultures and musical celebrations brings people to their feet.
Food vendors featuring tasty treats from a variety of cultures will satisfy festival-goers’ appetites while craft booths highlight handcrafts, clothing, art, and jewelry from local artisans.
Entertainment specially designed for kids will be bursting from Ethnic Fest’s Kid Zone all weekend long. Kid friendly fun includes BT Rhythm Drum Circle and the Clay Martin Puppets performing Punch and Judy classics. Kids can also enjoy hands-on art, a giant slide, an obstacle course and games for the entire family.
On Saturday night, guests can bring a blanket and some popcorn to enjoyThe Lego Movie (rated PG) at the CLICK! Outdoor Mobile Movie. This free movie will be presented at dusk. Seating is on the lawn.
